The European Union has added Chinese online retailer Temu to its list of platforms facing the bloc's highest level of digital scrutiny under the Digital Services Act due to its over 45 million users. By September 2024, Temu must comply with stringent rules that include addressing risks like counterfeit goods and intellectual property rights infringement. The company plans to enhance its measures to ensure user safety and transparency within the EU market.
