FTNN News Network reported that a person from Hong Kong with a Chinese Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) status used a British passport to visit the National Defense Security Research Institute and met with Su Ziyun, intentionally misplacing the passport number. Legislator Chen Guanting condemned the incident and urged the Ministry of National Defense to investigate to prevent leaks of national defense secrets. The incident highlighted serious management flaws in the institute's security procedures and the need for stricter identity checks for visitors to sensitive military locations.
