Media reports have exposed the 'China Institute of Management Science' for setting up subordinate institutions and selling training certificates without proper verification, causing doubts about their credibility. The institution had its registration revoked on the 23rd by Chinese authorities for engaging in activities outside its registered scope, expanding business operations to profit from selling vocational training certificates, and misleadingly using 'China' in advertising and organizing events, leading to societal unrest. This organization, known for research in management science, faced long-standing issues like setting up unauthorized branches and mass-selling certificates. It was said to be creating sub-structures while vying for superior supervising units and internally conflicting, yet also selling certificates stamped by its academic committee. Reports also mention unclear affiliations of their branches and the fast issuance of multiple certificates for fees ranging from approximately NT$2,600 to NT$4,400. The institution had been suspected of selling titles, like in the case of Guo Ping who authored a controversial paper in 2021 and held the title of deputy director at the 'China Institute of Management Science Academic Committee Brain Education Research Center'.
