Chinese Rocket Launch Over Taiwan's Southern Airspace

On June 22, 2024, at 4:17 am, the Chinese military launched a carrier rocket carrying a satellite from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in Sichuan. The rocket's flight path passed over southern Taiwan towards the western Pacific Ocean, at an altitude outside the atmosphere with no threat to Taiwan. The Taiwanese military closely monitored the situation using intelligence systems and remained vigilant.
