The 35th Golden Melody Awards ceremony was held tonight where Chinese singer Xǔ Jūn was absent on short notice before receiving the first award for 'Best Composer' with his song 'All About Singing,' surpassing songs by JJ Lin, No Party for Cao Dong, Eric Chou, Diana Huang, and Jolin Tsai. Xǔ Jūn's team accepted the award and thanked everyone, including his family, company, and wife, as he couldn't attend due to work-related reasons. The Cultural Ministry mentioned that among the 26 Chinese nominees for the awards, some had to cancel their attendance due to personal work commitments.
