Chinese Speedboat Breaches Tamsui River Mouth: Kuomintang Lin Recognizes Oversight: Radar Not Malfunctioning, Human Error

Reported about 1 year ago

On June 11, 2024 at 2:24 am, a man from mainland China drove a speedboat straight into the Tamsui River mouth. Kuomintang Lin, head of the Mainland Affairs Council, confirmed that the man had previously served as a captain in the Chinese Communist Navy. When questioned about the delayed response of the Coast Guard, Kuomintang Lin acknowledged that the radar surveillance system had not malfunctioned; rather, the 'people' had erred, as both the speedboat and other vessels were already 3 nautical miles away. The lookout claimed 'too many ships to identify,' and no action was taken in the last crucial half hour. She ordered disciplinary action to be taken.
