Chinese submarine surfaced near Penghu raising concern, with experts explaining that submarines float in shallow waters west of Taiwan Strait due to the danger posed by shallow banks. Minister Gou confirmed this, stating the waters in the area are shallow. During the inquiry, it was discussed that vessels notifying the navy of sightings can receive rewards, with Minister Gou mentioning a decrease in recent years. Minister Gou explained that they monitor the submarine in Western midline to float and that such operations involve reconnaissance methods. Concerns were raised about the incident, urging transparency and avoiding unnecessary tension.
