Chinese Tech Giant Goes Bankrupt, Leaving Thousands of Employees Unemployed

A major Chinese technology company with over 1000 employees suddenly declared bankruptcy, leaving over 800 employees jobless as the boss sneaked away halfway through the workday. The company was found to owe 6.2 billion yuan (around 27.7 billion New Taiwan dollars), and the boss, Chen Qun, left a note in his villa stating 'I can only choose to escape' before disappearing. The employees, unsure of their future, are left stranded as police are unable to locate Chen Qun. The company, Shanghai Jimo Galaxy Digital Technology Co., based in Shanghai, had subsidiaries in over 40 cities worldwide spanning AI, fintech, healthcare, metaverse, AIGC, and more, employing over 1000 individuals.
