On July 2, 2024, for the first time, a Chinese unmanned aerial vehicle interfered with the Nangan Airport in Matsu, approaching within 9.3 kilometers. The military notified the airport tower, causing a delay for two Uni Air flights. This incident highlights the ongoing disturbances from China, as China's military drones have also been seen flying near Kinmen Island, impacting national security.
