On June 8, 2024, at 8:31 AM, a Chinese UAV intruded into Kinmen and air-dropped leaflets with political slogans written in Simplified Chinese. The UAV flew over the Jinsha Sea towards Kinmen and dropped leaflets near the Ma Mountain outpost, bearing messages such as 'Taiwan, return to us.' The UAV was controlled and live broadcasted through the Douyin account Zhongli Technology, claiming to send warm wishes to Taiwan's troops for Dragon Boat Festival. Kinmen authorities are closely monitoring the situation. The leaflets' contents called for Taiwan's reunification with China, citing historical and cultural ties. Kinmen police, coast guard, and search teams responded to the incident.
