Prosecutors in Taiwan have accused a woman surnamed Jian of killing her two young daughters by drowning them in a river at Bitan in New Taipei City. Jian initially claimed it was a suicide attempt but was the only one to survive, later admitting to the act after being taken in by authorities. Jian has been charged with murder and is being held in custody, facing a potential sentence of at least 10 years in prison.
