Hamdi Ulukaya, the billionaire founder of Chobani yogurt, has purchased the historic San Francisco-based craft beer pioneer Anchor Brewing Co., known for its Anchor Steam and Christmas Ale beers. The acquisition comes after Anchor Brewing faced closure due to declining sales, with Ulukaya expressing excitement about being part of the company's revival. Previously owned by Japanese brewer Sapporo, Anchor Brewing is now under Ulukaya's Shepherd Futures family office, marking a new chapter for the iconic brewery.
