By making use of the energy-saving feature in air conditioners, it's known that leaving the AC on all night is more energy-efficient than frequently turning it on and off. However, there are divine and hellish buttons on air conditioners: using the divine button not only keeps you cool but also saves electricity, while the hellish button can double your power consumption. For a better sleeping experience, the 'sleep mode' is recommended by the Ministry of Economic Affairs' Energy Bureau, as it automatically adjusts the temperature setting during sleep by gradually increasing it to optimize energy consumption and comfort. Additionally, every degree increase in the AC setting can save up to 6% electricity usage. Avoiding the dehumidification function, which consumes twice as much power, when unnecessary, and using a humidifier with an electric fan for better air circulation are also suggested strategies for saving energy.
