According to CTi News on June 20, 2024, actor Chris Pratt voiced the character in the movie 'Garfield: Farm Adventure' and revealed that he fully immersed himself in cat life to understand their personality by living with multiple cats, to the point where he stopped speaking and only made meow sounds. Pratt jokingly mentioned how he 'lost himself' in the cat lifestyle, realizing later that Garfield can actually speak. Pratt observed and imitated cat behaviors like lapping water with the tongue and curling up body while sleeping to truly embody Garfield. The director praised his performance, calling him the perfect actor to voice Garfield, as Pratt expressed his fond childhood memories of the character.
