Chunghwa Telecom Introduces New Uniforms! Set to Debut in Stores on July 1

Chunghwa Telecom announced that all direct-operated and authorized store service personnel across Taiwan will switch to new uniforms made of 100% environmentally friendly recycled polyester fiber material with eco-friendly digital printing technology starting July 1, showcasing a new image while practicing ESG. The new uniforms, featuring a design inspired by internet signals, are made of soft, breathable, and durable material to reduce carbon emissions and water usage in production, improve comfort and durability. Additionally, the company has been updating store bags to meet global FSCTM certification standards since 2023 and plans to set material standards for all store bags in 2024, with over 80% recycled paper pulp used for bags and handles. Chunghwa Telecom aims to reduce paper bag purchases by 15% annually starting this year, expecting to cut around 106,000 paper bags. From 2025 to 2028, they plan to reduce paper bag purchases by 10% every year, actively promoting a sustainable environmental concept of net-zero. Apart from consumer services, Chunghwa Telecom's stores have also been community hubs, offering 'Hami Book City field reading' in unique stores like Erliin, Jiji, Meinong, and Donggang, and during the Olympics, they will open 17 stores to provide access to 'Hami Book City and Children's Book Dream Factory Fun Park field reading,' allowing more people to enjoy 14,000 e-books for free.
