Cisco announced its acquisition of visualization data business company Splunk for $2.8 billion last September to foster cybersecurity, digitalization growth, and AI applications. Following the completion of the acquisition in March, Cisco explained through an online conference how the merger will create greater advantages. By combining Cisco and Splunk's technology resources, they can leverage complementary advantages and achieve greater synergy to accelerate data application growth, particularly focusing on utilizing Splunk's data visualization technology to extract useful data and promote AI applications. This collaboration aims to enhance network security defenses, simplify security operations, provide faster data visualization, and improve decision-making for Cisco's existing customers.
