The group has collected over 36,000 signatures, surpassing the required threshold of 37,920. Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an expressed concerns that removing officials solely for the sake of removal would be detrimental to democracy. The process involves multiple stages, with a potential vote happening as early as September but possibly extending to November or December.
