In Taichung, a surveillance camera company received two calls within a year from someone claiming to be a 'school staff or teacher' asking for help to purchase equipment, promising to pay a 'price difference' as a fee. The company owner recorded the calls and warned others not to be deceived. The scammer, impersonating Director Yang Guoqiang from a junior high school, requested the company to buy items and bargain with suppliers to obtain a profit. Another case involved a farmer being asked to prepay for goods, but authorities intervened, preventing the scam. Such cases of impersonation fraud through LINE are prevalent, and businesses are advised to be cautious and report any suspicious activities.
