The controversy over parliamentary reform did not end with the passing of the legislation in Taiwan. The Kuomintang (KMT) and Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) have been promoting their respective ideologies through frequent town lectures. Interestingly, both parties held events in Taoyuan today, just six minutes apart by car. While the theme was parliamentary reform, the focus was also directed on recall cases. Both parties emphasized that recall battles are a form of political warfare, with supporters rallying for recalls. The clashes have escalated to involve personal histories and political vendettas.
