According to a Facebook post by Taiwan Power Company (TaiPower), it is recommended to wash your air conditioner filter every 2 to 3 weeks to save electricity and maintain cooling efficiency. Regular cleaning can save up to NT$215 per year on electricity bills. TaiPower also advises using mild detergent for cleaning, avoiding excessive scrubbing, and drying the filter indoors to prevent deformation and brittleness. Setting the air conditioner temperature between 26 to 28 degrees Celsius can also save 6% of electricity for each degree higher. It is important to conserve electricity during the summer peak season.
