After an investigation lasting close to a month, the Hsinchu female police officer, surnamed Pan, who was previously embroiled in a scandal involving allegations of moonlighting in an inappropriate venue, has been cleared of any wrongdoing by the police due to lack of concrete evidence of moonlighting. Despite this, she has been referred to the district prosecutor's office for allegedly falsifying documents by having someone sign out on her behalf. The incident has caused turmoil for the officer, who is from a middle-class family with a retired police officer father, and has resulted in her receiving disciplinary action of a serious warning.
