A clinic in Liujia, Tainan, specializing in stroke treatment and prevention, has been accused by a former employee of administering unmarked injections of ginsenoside with questionable efficacy at a high cost of up to 230,000 NT dollars for the entire treatment. The clinic clarified that the ginsenoside used is a food supplement, not intended for injection, and the expensive fees cover the full treatment regimen. The Tainan Health Bureau will investigate further to verify the claims and source of the injections. Although the clinic refuted the allegations, the health bureau aims to ensure transparency and compliance with medical regulations.
