CMA CGM has announced the postponement of several peak season surcharges for shipments to the U.S. The company delayed a $1,000 surcharge from January 15 to January 18 due to ongoing challenges in the shipping industry and a recent contract agreement with the International Longshoremen’s Association. This follows another surcharge being postponed until February 1, with further adjustments planned for February 15. The delays come amid rising shipping costs and heightened demand as importers prepare for the Lunar New Year.
