Reported about 1 year ago
A 20-year-old volunteer soldier with the Coast Guard's Eastern Division in Taiwan was suspected to have been electrocuted while bathing, losing consciousness on the spot. Upon the arrival of an ambulance at 7:35 p.m., the soldier was found unresponsive with no breathing or heartbeat. He was immediately rushed to Mackay Memorial Hospital for emergency treatment. The exact cause of the accident is still under investigation. The incident occurred without any electrical appliances in the bathroom, but the soldier had a wound on his chest that seemed to be caused by an electric shock. Firefighters managed to resuscitate him after two minutes of CPR, and the latest update reports that the victim is now able to breathe on his own.
