Codelco, the largest copper producer globally, reported a 16.5% increase in copper output for May, reaching 130,100 metric tons, according to Cochilco. In comparison, BHP's Escondida mine saw an even larger increase of 24.4% to 132,000 tons, while output at the Collahuasi mine dropped by 16.9% to 38,400 tons.
