College football star Jaden Rashada has sued individuals associated with the University of Florida football program, including coach Billy Napier and a booster named Hugh Hathcock, alleging they caused him to miss out on a $13.85 million NIL deal during his recruitment. The lawsuit, filed in Florida federal court, accuses the parties of fraud, negligence, and tortious interference, seeking damages for the lost deal. Rashada ended up signing with Florida but the promised NIL deal did not materialize, leading him to transfer to Arizona State and eventually to the University of Georgia.
