A fatal accident occurred in North District, Taichung City, Taiwan, where a 22-year-old male motorcyclist named Shi collided with a privately operated ambulance driven by a 63-year-old Huang at an intersection. Shi succumbed to his injuries despite rescue efforts. Following the incident, it was found that Shi's blood alcohol level exceeded the legal limit. While the ambulance was rushing a patient home and sounded its siren, the Health Bureau imposed a 60,000 fine for violating regulations. Investigations revealed discrepancies in the ambulance's siren use during non-emergencies, prompting the fine on the ambulance company. The Health Bureau stressed the importance of adhering to emergency service regulations and ensuring road safety for drivers, patients, and pedestrians.
