Reported 5 months ago

The historic Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas, underwent a $20 million-plus renovation to restore much of its original form and make modern upgrades for the Charles Schwab Challenge. Renowned architect Gil Hanse oversaw the project, using a program from the 1941 U.S. Open for guidance. The renovation included significant changes to the course layout, new irrigation systems, and the incorporation of barrancas for drainage. Players have praised the new course design for balancing tradition with modern playability, with the first rounds played since the renovation receiving positive feedback from both members and professionals.
