A Colorado dairy worker has been diagnosed with bird flu, marking the fourth case in the US. The worker showed symptoms of an eye infection and received antiviral treatment. The CDC stated that the worker had prior exposure to an infected cow and is being monitored. While more than 130 dairy herds in 12 states have reported cases of H5N1 this year, the risk to the public is deemed low, but caution is advised for dairy workers to wear protective gear when handling cattle.
