In the early morning, the machine room of Chunghwa Telecom in Changhua County experienced a disconnection, leading to the emergency hotline 110 and 119 being unable to connect for about an hour. The fire department promptly discovered the issue and was informed by Chunghwa Telecom of a system upgrade causing the disruption. Discussions on backup strategies between the authorities and Chunghwa Telecom are planned to prevent future incidents. Services were restored by 1:10 a.m. in an emergency fix. Plans for reinforced backup systems are in place with further discussions scheduled.
