On the first workday after the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, commuters faced inconvenience as the YouBike system went down this morning at 7:51 am, only functioning again at 8:27 am. The Taipei City Transportation Bureau stated that this is the second shutdown within a month, with a penalty of NT$100,000 imposed on the operator, smiling bike company. The system error affected the YouBike 2.0 and YouBike 2.0E electric-assist bicycles, prompting commuters to use alternative transportation temporarily.
