On June 26, 2024, on TVBS News, it was reported that due to hot weather, many tourists visit the cold springs in Su'ao. However, at the Wenxiaosi Ecological Pool, visitors expressed dissatisfaction as the pool appeared murky and filled with fallen leaves, lacking maintenance. Originally designated as a school site, due to declining student population, the land was returned to the landlord. Currently, the county government has asked Su'ao Elementary School nearby to assist with maintenance, but the school is struggling due to limited funds. The high iron content in the cold springs leads to the generation of oxides on the surface with exposure to sunlight, making cleaning efforts challenging.
