Reported 8 months ago

On June 17, 2024, complaints were raised about the inconvenient ticketing process at Miaoli Train Station where passengers had to climb stairs to the second floor to purchase tickets as there were no automatic ticket machines on the first floor. The station explained that due to the design of the elevated station building, all ticketing facilities are located on the second floor but there is an elevator for the elderly or disabled. Plans are in place to install escalators for improved service. Other complaints included the lack of amenities like an automatic ticket machine, gate access, and a station store causing embarrassment to the Taiwan Railways. The station manager reassured that efforts are being made to address these issues and enhance convenience for passengers.
