In Nan'ao, Nantou, the owner of a gold paper shop accused the neighboring Indonesian snack shop of having overly strong food odors that affect their quality of life. Despite installing air-tight windows, the smell persists, leading to a confrontation where the elderly woman was insulted and asked if she needed a lesson. The Indonesian shop clarified that they use more spices in their cuisine and have spent 150,000 to install electrostatic fume extractors. Despite meeting environmental standards, the gold paper shop's complaints have left both parties frustrated.
