On June 9, 2024, in Taipei, a 47-year-old delivery rider named Huang was fined NT$5,000 and sentenced to 20 days of detention or a fine for threatening a fast-food restaurant manager with death after being accused of frequently cutting in line while picking up food. The Taipei trial concluded that Huang's insults and threats towards the manager lacked emotional control, causing fear and leading to legal consequences.
