The Legislative Yuan's Internal Affairs Committee was reviewing amendments to the Recall Law when intense clashes broke out between blue and green camps, with green camp members later barricading the meeting room in the afternoon, preventing convener Gao Jin-Suemei from entering the meeting and subsequently accused of holding parliamentary staff against their will. In response, KMT legislators also went to the Taipei District Prosecutors Office to report DPP legislators in hopes of justice for the parliamentary staff. KMT legislators initiated the report, accusing DPP members of violating laws relating to obstruction of official duties, infringement of personal freedoms, and coercion.
