Chen Yong-liang, owner of the well-known beverage store 'Feng Cha,' got into a heated confrontation with the police after his car was illegally parked at the entrance of the Hsinchu Fruit and Vegetable Market and was being towed. During the scuffle, Chen, holding his 1-year-old son, fell near the car wheel, leading to accusations from both sides. Chen accused the police of improper enforcement while they charged him with obstruction of official duties and assault. The child sustained minor injuries, prompting Chen to file a lawsuit against the officers. The incident further escalated as emotions ran high on both sides.
