The Taiwan Food and Drug Administration's plan to label dairy products with a shelf life of over 30 days as 'Long-lasting Fresh Milk' has caused concerns among Democratic Progressive Party legislators like Chen Ting-fei, who fear confusion among consumers and advocate for clear regulations concerning school milk promotion, dairy product labeling, and store labeling. Dairy farmers strongly oppose the move, claiming it severely impacts their livelihood. Legislators also stress the need to address the impact of imported dairy products on local fresh milk and the upcoming end of reduced taxes on dairy products in Taiwan.
