In the campaign for the congressional reform law, both the blue and green camps in Taiwan have initiated nationwide promotional activities. Some Kuomintang county party committee chairs criticized the Democratic Progressive Party's rural outreach as not solely opposed to the congressional reform law, but rather an early military preparation for the 2026 election and recall activities, accusing the DPP of being election-oriented. The DPP initiated a rural outreach campaign on the 14th, selecting the district of Kuomintang caucus convener Fu Kun-chi in Hualien County as the first stop; in response, the Kuomintang chose to kick off the campaign in President Tsai Ing-wen's stronghold of Tainan on the 15th, intensifying the competition between the two parties.
