You Ying-long, Chairman of the Taiwan Public Opinion Foundation, predicts that the Constitutional Court may find the President's State of the Union address format unconstitutional and in need of revision, as well as that the Congressional investigative authority might be unconstitutional. He warns that if the reforms are deemed too extreme by the opposition party, political retaliation may continue indefinitely. He anticipates that the controversial Constitutional Court cases regarding Congressional reform may be resolved as early as August. He advises Taiwanese people to brace themselves for unprecedented political struggles in the coming months.
