Yahoo News reported on July 1, 2024, that the amendments to the Congressional Reform Law have come into effect, with the Control Yuan claiming that the related amendments seriously impede the exercise of investigative powers and violate the principle of separation of powers in the constitution. Following the enactment of the congressional reform amendments, the Control Yuan has submitted a request for constitutional interpretation and temporary measures to the Constitutional Court, stressing the importance of safeguarding rights, maintaining the principle of power separation, and seeking to defend their investigative authority.
