In Tokyo's Kokuritsu city, a 10-story residential building named 'Grand Maison Kokuritsu Fujimi Street' sparked opposition as it obstructed the view of Mount Fuji on 'Fujimi Avenue' since late last year. Despite the planned completion in July, the developer, Sekisui House, recently applied for project cancellation due to the structure's impact on the surroundings, with concerns that it had not been fully considered. Following public backlash and the threat to the scenic beauty of Mount Fuji, the developer reluctantly decided to dismantle the building, which was a result of public pressure and a larger environmental perspective.
