In Taipei, a construction contractor made an illicit profit of 1.22 million NTD by selling construction materials from Taipei Dome construction to another construction company during a work stoppage period. The subcontractor who received the materials pressed charges, leading to a judicial process where the contractor eventually compensated 3.5 million NTD and received a 2-year suspended sentence for embezzlement. The court considered the remorseful attitude and good behavior of the contractor in the judgment.
