Reported 9 months ago

On June 27, 2024, the Taiwan Economic Development Research Center at Central University announced that the consumer confidence index for June increased by 0.49 points from the previous month, reaching a total of 72.69 points. Notably, among the 6 major indicators, only the investment in stocks indicator declined to 58.38 points, a decrease of 0.97 points from the previous month. While the stock market fluctuated recently affecting investor confidence, the other 5 indicators showed improvement, with job opportunities having the highest increase. The timing indicator for purchasing real estate also rose due to new housing policies. Despite experts predicting the economic growth rate to remain at 3%, concerns about factors like the U.S. presidential election, monetary policy, inflation, and China's actions affecting Taiwan's export performance should be monitored in the second half of the year.
