The Consumer Foundation announced today the initiation of a group lawsuit process for the 'Bao Lin Case,' involving 6 deceased victims' families and 24 injured individuals of varying degrees due to poisoning at the tea house. The Foundation estimates potential compensation to exceed 100 million NT dollars through punitive damages, considering the financial issues of the tea house's founder and targeting the chef, manager, and even the leasing company. The poisoning incident resulted in 6 fatalities and numerous injuries, raising awareness on the dangers of food contamination by Bacillus cereus. The Foundation urged swift cooperation from affected consumers to expedite legal proceedings and ensure justice for victims.
