In the past two months, egg prices in Taiwan have dropped four times, totaling a decrease of NT$12, but some consumers still feel indifferent as the cost of adding eggs remains high. Egg sellers are urging for a moderate adjustment across the entire industry chain, from production to consumption, in order for consumers to truly benefit from the price drop. Despite the price reductions, the overall supply of eggs in Taiwan exceeds daily demand, with concerns about some farmers operating at a loss due to weak summer consumption levels.
