FTNN News Network reported that last Friday (June 7) the Taiwan stock market closed at 21,858.38 points, showing a weekly increase of 684.16 points, or 3.23% from June 3 to June 7. Last week, self-traders bought NT$26.343 billion and sold NT$30.6 billion, resulting in a net selling of NT$4.257 billion, with Quanta, a panel manufacturing giant, being the most purchased stock with over 4,000 shares. Due to a shortage of containers and congestion at ports caused by the crisis in the Red Sea, shipping prices have continuously surged, leading to a 20.7% increase in shipping company Wan Hai's stock price last week, prompting self-traders to buy into this container shipping stock as well.
