Reported 8 months ago

On June 22, 2024, DPP Secretary-General Lin Youchang led party officials to Keelung to conduct a parliamentary reform law advocacy event. Although the parliament voted 62-51 against the reconsideration of the parliamentary reform bill, the battle between the blue and green camps for parliamentary reform continues, extending to constitutional interpretation and recall battles. Lin Youchang criticized the collaboration between the Kuomintang and the People's Party with the Communist Party to pass excessive authority laws in the legislature, aiming to seize power in 2028. He emphasized the importance of democratic values, urged people to protect democracy by selecting the right mayors and legislators, and highlighted the threats to Taiwan's democracy posed by this collaboration with the Communist Party.
