The Central Weather Bureau in Taiwan issued a high-temperature advisory for 14 cities, forecasting continued heat for the next week with some areas possibly reaching temperatures above 38 degrees Celsius, while thunderstorms are expected in northern areas and mountainous regions in the afternoon. With the influence of a strengthening Pacific high pressure system, temperatures may soar above 40 degrees Celsius, particularly in the western regions, with extreme heat alerts issued for various areas. The upcoming days will see intermittent rain in southern regions, while central and northern parts may experience thunderstorms. Temperature is expected to decrease slightly on Friday before rising again due to a southeasterly wind pattern the following week.
