In a recent public appearance, Lu Shaye, the Chinese ambassador to France known for his 'wolf warrior' rhetoric, referred to Taiwan as a 'rebel regime' within China's territory and asserted Beijing's right to expel this regime at any time. Lu Shaye highlighted the importance of mutual respect between China and France, emphasized that Taiwan is not a separate country but part of China, and mentioned China's stance on peaceful reunification under the 'one country, two systems' principle. He also criticized US support for Taiwan independence, blaming it for tensions in cross-strait relations.
